Chatterton's Lullaby by yaamas Chatterton's Lullaby by yaamas
I was able to squeeze a little painting in while working on some commissions. This one doesn't have a story yet but it will, I promise!

I painted it using watercolor on 140lb hot press paper. The size is 6 1/2 x 9 1/2.

I hope you like it.

This is amazing. I love your technique. Did you paint the leaves first or last?

I'll never stop admiring the detail you put into your paintings, especially trees and their leaves.
The happy look on the child's face expresses the loveliness of that piece really well. Another wonderfully charming piece of art!

Oh, how adorable! I love the sweet smiles, both on the tree and the girl... In any case, if she's lost, we know she is safe! So great! You know... I put stories to my drawings, too...most of them. :-D :-D Anyway, this is beautiful, and I'm looking forward to seeing what story you come up with!

This is plain adorable. The little girl looks like the complete innocence. And the expression of the tree! A very tender piece that indeed needs a story.

I love this, but then I love children, special trees, and fairy stories. It always amazed me how much detail you can work into such a small painting, and yet it always looks fresh and never overworked. Beautiful little painting...Annie
