I've finally completed the FOUR SEASONS and I am very happy with the way that they turned out. I worked on all four of them during the last 6 months and let me say that it was a journey. The beautiful maidens for these paintings truly made them special and I owe them my gratitude. The landscapes are completely made up and inspired by my many walks by the stream in Valley Forge Park, two miles down the road from where we live. It is absolutely a beautiful and peaceful place and I always feel like I am walking in God's garden when I am there.
I hope you enjoy them and I hope that each painting gives you a sense of peace and a sense of love in the same way that I felt while painting them.
The originals are created in watercolor and they measure 26x32. They were commissioned by a lovely couple just outside of Pittsburgh. Prints are available on my website.
This is BEAUTIFUL... I am utterly speechless... The colours, the dress (!!), the details... omg i cant stop staring at this! I love how the is a contrast to her surroundings, as she looks like spring, and around her is winter.. She is so lifelike. and I love how you used her light to bring so much warmth into the picture! From this moment you will be a huge inspiration to me! Be prepeared to get comments and favorites!^^
This is beautiful! I have to ask, I don't know if you have answered this already, but why did you put winter in a sunny bright dress? It seems more like the dress Spring would wear. Although I do enjoy the contrast and it works with the piece beautifully! ^_^
